Our Origins
Sumner in Bloom was founded by Sarai, a Bronx native with a lifelong passion for florals and event design. Growing up in the Bronx during the '90s, she spent countless hours watching her mother work as an events coordinator and floral artist—an experience that sparked her creative spirit and planted the seeds for her future.
Years later, inspired by the growth of her daughter Sumner, Sarai turned her dream into reality. Named in her daughter’s honor, Sumner in Bloom is a reflection of legacy, love, and creativity—a place where flowers tell stories, and every arrangement is rooted in joy and meaning.
Today, Sarai shares her passion through custom floral designs for weddings, events, and special occasions, as well as workshops that invite others to experience the beauty of things that grow.
